mpd-dbg software package provides Music Player Daemon debugging symbols, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mpd-dbg
mpd-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mpd-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mpd-dbg *
You will get with mpd-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
